Redmount Hill: The Quest For Salvation

Just three week ago, missionaries arrived with their God. A church was built, and all the priests who came to the town blessed the common folk. As the townspeople gathered in the town square, heads rose over shoulders to catch a glimpse at the miracles performed. Stone led a path towards the town square from four directions. At the center, a small fountain, blessed by the holy crusaders cloaked in red. The sun danced off and on as clouds passed overhead, creating moving cast shadows amongst the crowds’ silhouette. A boy shuffles through the crowd and climbs up a wall, next to a street lamp, he shifts his weight to peer at the show causing all the commotion. At the fountain, one priest  stood, gesturing to the crowd. Another stood with an older woman from the town, his hands dipped into the fountain, then across her shoulders to the top of her head. The red figures were wearing identical garments. Blood red cloaks flowed around their forms. At the back, an embroidered symbol with a black band along the trim. Upon their heads they wore tall, crescent shaped headwear.
